Emily Tweedy
I am interested in exploring the concepts of the public and the private, and what differentiates the two, and what privileges or disadvantages each aspect may contain.

In my photography, I try to capture vulnerability as well as presence; the intrinsic loneliness that comes with the spectacular. When photographing concerts, I especially enjoy working with smaller bands or local acts; and I love shooting punk rock bands most of all.

My sculpture and illustration branch beyond public and private, addressing other elements of the self including gender, need and desire.

Speaking of need and desire, contact me if you are interested in purchasing anything you see here.
