Murals
In the fall of 2010, I designed & executed a mural to cover every wall of a room at a children's psychiatric hospital. The room, called a "comfort room", is intended to be a soothing alternative to restraint and/or seclusion, allowing the child or adolescent time to process difficult emotions and learn to self-soothe. All walls are approximately ten feet high and four feet wide. I used acrylic paint and permanent marker.
